Event description

The inaugural exhibition in CSW Wiewiórka located in XVIII century Salt Depot is a subjective tale of the history of artists ateliers in the Zabłocie district. We’ve invited artists who worked in this area between 2009 and 2019. At the same time we are asking how many art studios were there in Zabłocie in the last decade, and how many can you find now? This district is a textbook example of gentrification in which, unfortunately, the artists played a big role. We were the lupine, sown on barren land only to be plowed later to make a place for wheat. This process has caused a unique, postindustrial atmosphere to disappear completely.
