Małgorzata Gołębiewska
A graduate of the History of Art faculty on the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, a co-founder and curator of Contemporary Art Gallery Art Agenda Nova in Cracow (2002) and the East of Art Foundation (2006). Originator and artistic director of the Festival of Visual Arts Grolsch ArtBoom (2009-2015) and a co-initiator of Cracow Gallery Weekend KRAKERS (2012-2018) and Cracow Art Week (from 2019). Curated more than a hundred exhibitions in Poland and in other countries and organized many cultural and artistic projects, art reviews. She is a specialist consultant on the art collector’s market, an author of articles regarding contemporary art and texts published in exhibition catalogues. In 2006 she was involved in creating the Small Encyclopedia of the Art Market.
In 2007 the President of Cracow awarded her the ‘Honoris Gratia’ medal in recognition of her merits for the city and its citizens, in 2010 she received a silver statuette of ‘The Patron of Cracow’s Culture’ for the most interesting form and the efficiency of patronage. A year later the Minister of Culture and National Heritage gave Mrs. Gołębiewska a diploma for popularising Polish contemporary art and the promotion of young artists.
She was also a member of a group responsible for preparing the 2015-2016 Promotion Strategy for Cracow.

Graduate of Theology on the Papal Theological Academy in Cracow. Since the nineties he’s working with his wife Małgorzata in the area of contemporary art.
Absolwent Teologii na Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie. Od lat 90-tych wspólnie z żoną Małgorzatą Gołębiewską działa w obszarze sztuki współczesnej. Katarzyna Mierzwińska
Born in 1990, culture expert, art historian and a photographer. Graduated culture studies with culture management specialization on the Faculty of Management and Social Communication and the faculty of the Protection of Cultural Heritage and History of Art (specialized in curating contemporary art), both on the Jagiellonian University. For more than a decade she cooperates with many of Cracow’s cultural institutions. Involved in cultural management, multiple projects and organizing exhibitions. Since 2016 associated with the East of Art Foundation and Art Agenda Nova gallery, a year later she began coordinating KRAKERS.

Ewa Kawecka
Ewa Kawecka
Graduated the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (with a diploma in the studio of professor Leszek Misiak in 2003) and Publishing School’s faculty of Printing and DTP. She received a scholarship on the Universität für angewandte Kunst in Vienna. Cooperated with the National Museum in Cracow. Ran the Łącznik Gallery.
With KRAKERS since the first edition, she’s the cartographer and the GPS of Kultour. She’s also responsible for contacting the galleries. She loves recycled animals, old houses, forgotten ideas, outdated software and Dutch barges.
Robert Domżalski
Robert Domżalski
Responsible for contacting galleries, artists and curators. During his adventure in art he cooperated with galleries such as Space Gallery, As, Szara Kamienica and Starmach.
When, as a kid, he first saw a landscape in a museum he thought that he can jump into it and live there. He still hopes he can.

Thomas Skatulla
Thomas Skatulla
Art historian and IT specialist. On an everyday basis associated with Szara Kamienica Gallery of the Grey House Foundation in Cracow. He’s responsible for the creation and maintenance of the website. Privately he loves swimming and mountain hikes. Besides that he’s interested in speleology.

Maja Kolarz
Maja Kolarz
An art history student, working for KRAKERS since 2017, she is developing her interest and knowledge of contemporary art through work in art galleries, cultural institutions (Dystans Gallery, 4Style Foundation, Art Agenda Nova, International Cultural Center) and at events such as Cracow Gallery Weekend KRAKERS and Cracow Photomonth. Her specialty is PR and coordination of the film programme.
Adam Rzeszutko
Adam Rzeszutko
Culture expert and a student of culture and media management with the specialization in media management on the Faculty of Management and Social Communication of the Jagiellonian University. Privately he is passionate about independent cinema, photography, vinyl records and dogs. Associated with KRAKERS since 2018, he is now responsible for public relations, prints coordination and for digital archivisation.

EDUCATION

Katarzyna Piętka
Katarzyna Piętka
Graduated from the Faculty of Painting on Cracow’s Academy of Fine Arts in 2003.
In 2002 she went to the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland for a Socrates – Erasmus scholarship.
Her favourite painting theme are portraits made in the frame – counter-frame style, implying a movie dialogue. Her interest in screen proportions and the language of film derive from film studies she took on the Jagiellonian University.
Mirosława Bałazy
Mirosława Bałazy
Art historian, curator and educator, founder of Artmine. Interested in actions performed in public space and innovative education formats in the area of contemporary art. In the Lesser Poland Cultural Institute in Cracow she is responsible for spreading museums’ collections in the virtual space. Her collaborations include ArtBoom Festival, Bunkier Sztuki and Kościuszko Institute. She took part in various trainings regarding education through art in London’s Tate Modern and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Łódź. During KRAKERS she is responsible for ‘Art on Mars’ educational activities for children. During those the participants will try to work out whether art is a field as far away as other galaxies or on the contrary – tames, modifies and comments on what’s the closest to us.

Łucja Malec-Kornajew
She was a presenter for art ad culture related shows for the Polish Television and Lesser Poland Cultural Institute, wrote for Autoportret, Nowa Europa Wschodnia, Opcja…She coordinated actions durin Cracow’s Theatrical Reminiscences. She creates her own touring routes, choosing unusual topics to tell her stories. She has created the Mrs.Fishka’s Children Detective Agency – a series of tours allowing the participants to discover Cracow’s secrets.

VOLUNTEER COORDINATION

Daniel Kozik
A specialist of the apparent chaos – efficient despite being chaotic. A keen social worker, scouting instructor and a worker in the HR department. With KRAKERS since 2018 – first as a volunteer, now as the coordinator.
Joanna Zając
Joanna Zając
Born in 1993, appreciates things that are not digital, from cameras to relations between people. She has started her higher education by trying to discover the secrets of the human mind on the Jagiellonian University and plans to finish by a master’s degree in market communication. With KRAKERS since 2018. In her free time she watches Russian Blues on Instagram, drinks wine and watches movies in good spots that have not been closed yet.

FILM PROGRAM

Piotr Zdybał
Piotr Zdybał
Art historian, critic and curator of art and movie projects, a lecturer (giving classes about the aesthetics and history of art in AMA Film Academy in Cracow). His main interests are art and widely understood visual culture of the XXth and XXIst century, mainly the history and theory of photography and cinema.

Graduated in Polish studies as an editor, loves volleyball and typographically crazy books. In KRAKERS she works as a proofreader.

Marcin Świdziński
Marcin Świdziński
Self-taught photographer interested mostly in street reportage. Loves humor as dark as the night itself and books by sir Terry Pratchett. He is completely certain that a bike is the only reasonable way to move around Cracow which is why this is the fourth year when he rushes at breakneck speed from one event to another, battling traffic.

Started taking photos seriously 6 years ago. She specializes in events, landscapes and dogs. Nothing can escape her lense, so be careful while visiting the openings during KRAKERS.

Patryk Olczyk
Photographer feeling at his best in photojournalism. Likes watching people. Besides taking photos he’s a keen graphic and experience designer. He claims that he’s never been bored in his life, and sleep is a waste of time.
