Description of the event

The title of the exhibition is a quote from Ingeborg Bachmann’s poem ‘To the Sun’, in which she describes an idyllic landscape and the emotions accompanying us when we observe nature. Ariane Kipp and Janusz Janczy are artists who refer to the landscape and its elements in their art. By using materials such as plastic, silicone, and varnish they are trying to show the transformation and degradation of the environment caused by thoughtless and incontinent consumption.

Gallery Description

Since its conception in 2011 the Nurnberg House Gallery organizes exhibition of artists from Poland and Germany and is also involved in international projects and presenting art in public spaces. The gallery periodically shows art made by women (in March) and projects combining visual arts and literature as a part of the Conrad Festival (in October and November). Due to the unique character of our institution we collaborate with Academies of Fine Arts in Cracow and Nurnberg and with other galleries in both cities, showcasing works created by artists associated with Cracow and Nurnberg.
