Jak Zapomnieć Foundation is also an art gallery that was established in late 2018 as an artist-run space. We want to create a place away from conservative criticism, open and safe. We show the latest art and promote musicians. The gallery’s name refers to a popular 18L song from the early 00s. We take it as a manifesto of our youth, a metaphor describing the condition of a generation that, on the one hand, wants to escape from the problems of both global politics and its own personal ones, but knows that by remembering and acting you can change a lot. We feel the need to have a voice, and somewhat in an utopian way, somewhat cynically, we still believe that we can change the world by fighting for our collective freedom and diversity.
