DESCRIPTION
The exhibition entitled “Shifts” will refer to the creation of compositions through a thoughtful arrangement of geometric components, elementary figures and their displacements. This title contains a movement referring to the modernist idea of multiview. It is through shifts – sometimes precise and concrete, sometimes those resulting from intuitive action or chance – that the diverse nature of abstraction is discovered and brought out.
GALLERY INFO
Widna is a space focused on presenting the latest phenomena in the field of Polish art and confronting important issues of modern times. From the very beginning of its operation, i.e. since 2016, the gallery has been focused on close cooperation with artists and curators in the form of exhibitions and other formats, such as publications, discussions and external cooperation. The gallery is run by Kinga Nowak and Michał Bratko. The activity of the space located in Cracow’s Grzegórzki developed from earlier experimental curatorial and publishing projects of the founders as part of activities in the current field of art.
