Description
Multitude is making a promise, it is many paths leading to the goal, it is an artistic intervention that gives the opportunity to change the context and the meaning of both an object and a place. A maze, a concept sometimes used in mathematics and logic, also has a multitude of meanings in art. Our artistic intervention with the participation of a young Warsaw artist, Jagoda Laprus, will be an installation of her “Maze” – a composition of intertwined bodies, in an architectural space created by Franciszek Mączyński.
Gallery info
Zofia Weiss Gallery, operating as a part of the Wojciech Weiss Museum Foundation, closely cooperates with the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, of which Weiss was a professor and a rector. It directs its attention to the youngest generation of artists from this university, providing them with patronage and curatorial support. The gallery attaches great importance to the dialogue between art and culture of today and the past. It also conducts a discussion with disturbing contemporary phenomena. With a large space at its disposal, the gallery organizes individual and collective exhibitions, the annual Zimowe Salony Młodych (Winter Youth Salons) from the Academy, and participates in many cultural projects.
