OPIS

Wystawa prezentuje kolejną odsłonę projektu Jowity Mormul, którego bohaterem jest kolekcja rodzinnych kluczy. Artystka pyta: dlaczego właśnie klucze są przedmiotami, które towarzyszą mojej rodzinie, mimo wielokrotnie zmienianych miejsc pobytu, podczas kolejnej dobrowolnej lub przymusowej przeprowadzki? Niepotrzebne klucze, które straciły swoją funkcję i nie mają już czego otwierać, są materialnym śladem istnienia miejsc opuszczonych. Same zdają się nosić w sobie ślad wszystkich dłoni, które je dotykały. Jaka będzie ich przyszłość?


The exhibition presents another installment of Jowita Mormul’s project, centered on a collection of family keys. The artist asks: why are keys the objects that accompany my family, despite numerous changes of residence, during each voluntary or forced move? Unnecessary keys, which have lost their function and no longer have anything to open, are a material trace of the existence of abandoned places. They themselves seem to bear the imprint of all the hands that have touched them. What will their future hold?

Pokazujemy twórców, którzy swoją wrażliwością i odwagą artystyczną zmieniają sposób myślenia o fotografii. Do galerii zapraszamy zarówno członków ZPAF, jak i artystów spoza Związku. Na naszych wystawach spotykają się techniki szlachetne i nowoczesne media- od fotoobiektów po działania performatywne, tworząc dynamiczną przestrzeń dialogu między tradycją a współczesnością.


Zpafgallery / ZPAF Gallery is a place where contemporary photography takes on new meanings. Run by the Kraków Branch of the Association of Polish Art Photographers, it presents the most interesting phenomena, trends, and experiments in photography. We showcase artists whose sensitivity and artistic courage are transforming the way we think about photography. We invite both ZPAF members and artists from outside the Association to the gallery. Our exhibitions combine refined techniques and modern media – from photo objects to performance art – creating a dynamic space for dialogue between tradition and modernity.
