OPIS
Punktem wyjścia są efemeryczne kompozycje z używanych mebli, nawiązujące do klasycznych form pomnikowych. Zrealizowane jako działania performatywne, istnieją przede wszystkim jako gest i zapis wideo, prezentowany w przestrzeni miejskiej.
Równolegle instalacja rozwijana jest w formie działań warsztatowych w przestrzeni publicznej, gdzie powstają tymczasowe struktury z mebli z odzysku.
Projekt operuje językiem rzeźby, lecz jego głównym medium jest relacja i współpraca. Meble – rzeczy codzienne, często porzucone – stają się materialnym śladem niestabilności mieszkaniowej.
The project by Łukasz Surowiec is an installation presenting a sketch of the victims of eviction monument, created in collaboration with the Emaus Kraków Community – individuals recovering from homelessness and engaged in the circulation and renovation of reclaimed furniture.
The starting point is ephemeral compositions made of used furniture, referencing classical monumental forms. Realized as performative actions, they exist primarily as gestures and video recordings presented in urban spaces.
The installation is simultaneously developed as a workshop in public spaces, where temporary structures are created from reclaimed furniture.
The project employs the language of sculpture, but its primary medium is relationship and collaboration. Furniture – everyday objects, often abandoned – becomes a material trace of housing instability.
