Wystawa dotyczy obrazów/malarstwa funkcjonującego poza instytucjonalnym obiegiem – obrazów obecnych w przestrzeni publicznej, podatnych na zniszczenie, znikanie i obojętność. Ale też na bezcenność, ważność i sprawczość. Analizuje relacje pomiędzy obrazem a anonimowym odbiorcą, reprezentując antykomercyjną postawę wobec sztuki pytam o sens i rolę malarstwa we współczesnym mieście, o obraz w życiu zwykłego odbiorcy. Poza logiką rynku i trwałością obiektu. Myślę o obrazie jako relacji, nie produkcie.Pokaże je w pracowni,sklepie i pasażu.

Wpół właścicielką kamienicy, w której mieszkał Marcin Świetlicki jest malarka i pisarka Ewa Mańkowska-Grin autorka książek o architekturze i dobry duch kamienicy i w miejscu po sklepie z leczniczą marihuaną a wszystko dzięki Pani Beacie Perskiej zarządczyni sądowej nieruchomości i mecenasce sztuki.

The exhibition explores images/paintings that exist outside institutional circulation – images present in public spaces, susceptible to destruction, disappearance, and indifference. But also to pricelessness, importance, and agency. It analyzes the relationship between the image and the anonymous viewer, representing an anti-commercial stance towards art. I am questioning the meaning and role of painting in the contemporary city, and the image in the life of the ordinary viewer. Beyond the logic of the market and the permanence of the object, I consider the image as a relationship, not a product. I will show them in the studio, the store, and the passageway.

I’ll be showing paintings and objects in three locations: my studio, where I paint, in the passageway – a public space where, as I walk, I pass a watchmaker, a tattoo studio, an optician, Ms. Danusia and her boutique, a man who once stood at the gate and now sells at the Janina store, which was relocated from Dominikański Square. I pass the Kakadu fabric store. And the Oasis beauty salon. The tenement house where Marcin Świetlicki lived is co-owned by the painter and writer Ewa Mańkowska-Grin, author of books on architecture and the good spirit of the tenement house, and in the place where the medicinal marijuana shop once stood. All thanks to Ms. Beata Perska, the court-appointed property manager and patron of the arts.

Otwarta Pracownia – niekomercyjna galeria sztuki współczesnej, prowadzona od 1995 r. przez Stowarzyszenie Artystyczne „Otwarta Pracownia” na krakowskim Kazimierzu.
